Where to Join in on the Kentucky Derby Fun in Napa Valley

The 144th Kentucky Derby is right around the corner, so break out your pastel attire and boldest hats and attend one of Napa Valley’s annual Derby events. Here are a few Napa Valley spots that are throwing a Derby bash where all are invited to gather and cheer on the horses and jockeys at the ‘Run for the Roses’.

Jamieson Ranch Vineyards Derby Day

Head down to the southernmost winery in the Napa Valley for a Derby Party amongst the animals. Jamieson Ranch Vineyards lies on a beautiful estate with cattle grazing the rolling hillsides, a bee apiary, and miniature horses. Their lovely outdoor seating area has spectacular views that overlook the vineyards and their art wall features local artist murals that are a must-see.

Beringer Vineyards Kentucky Derby Party

With history dating back to the year 1868, Beringer Estates is one of the first Napa Valley wineries. The Rhine House, winemaker Frederick Beringer’s former residence, is a classic example of ornate Victorian architecture with beautiful exterior stonework and stained-glass windows. Gather in the historic Rhine House to watch the race with your best Kentucky Derby attire. St. Helena Rotary Club’s Kentucky Derby Party

This 3rd Annual Derby Party fundraiser benefits the St. Helena Preschool For All, a non-profit devoted to giving all children an opportunity to experience preschool and succeed. The event takes place at the renovated 1913 Cameo Cinema where you can watch the race on the big screen, participate in a silent auction, Best Hat contest, and Best Male Derby Style contest while enjoying fine wine and southern food.
