The annual Napa Valley Film Festival is one of the biggest events of the year. Over 120 new independent films and studio sneak peaks are shown at locations throughout the valley, from historic theatres to some of the Napa Valley’s most famous wineries. Attend St. Helena’s Hometown Harvest Festival for a day of fun festivities. Begin with an early morning Fun Run and observe an adorable Pet Parade. The Fest includes local artists, beer and winemakers, farmers, live music, and arts and crafts.
The Caldwell Snyder Gallery in downtown St. Helena always has a new exhibition come fall. This October, it’s the stunning paintings of Marta Penter in the exhibition, Floating Time. Her subjects vary, from paintings of well-groomed bodies of beautiful people to photographs of something as simple as an inner tube. Regardless, her dry humor is apparent in the sequence of canvasses and photographs.
