5 of the Best Napa Valley Winery Patios to Sip Outside

When the temperatures rise in wine country, winery patios across Napa Valley beckon guests to come wine, dine, and enjoy the views. At the Wine Country Inn & Cottages, our helpful staff is happy to arrange your visit to local wineries to help you make the most of your Napa Valley getaway. From sprawling vineyard vistas in Rutherford to ivy-covered canopies in St. Helena, here are five Napa Valley winery patios that will make you want to grab a glass and unwind al fresco.

Beringer Vineyards

Tucked off St. Helena’s busy Main Street is Beringer Vineyards, California’s oldest continually operating winery. Enjoy a Reserve Pairing on their shady porch outside the beautiful Victorian Rhine House. Look out at their landscaped grounds as you enjoy three iconic Napa Valley wines from this historic winery, including their Private Reserve Chardonnay, the perfect libation for a sunny day spent on the patio.

Round Pond Estate Winery

At Round Pond Estate, indulge in one of the many wine and dining experiences on their large covered patio while overlooking distant vineyards and rolling Napa Valley hills. You may enjoy their Private Garden Lunch, complete with family-style garden food and a taste of their estate grown and milled olive oils. Or visit the Rutherford estate later in the day for a Twilight Wine Reception. Sip fine wines, savor garden inspired appetizers, and take in the panoramic views from Round Pond’s second story terrace.

Cosentino Winery

Join Cosentino Winery on their scenic ivy-covered patio for a charming place to relax, sip, and savor delicious wines of Napa Valley and the nearby Lodi appellation. Only completed in 2015, their lush patio has both a water and fire element, making it one of the most distinctive patios in all of wine country. Enjoy a customizable flight of five wines at their Yountville estate, next to their grand outdoor stone fireplace.

Trinchero Napa Valley

With stunning views of Spring Mountain to the west, and Howell Mountain to the east, Trinchero Napa Valley has a lovely ivy-covered canopy for you to sit and enjoy varietals from distinguished Napa Valley vineyards. Sit at their picnic tables and overlook their Cabernet Sauvignon vines. Legacy Club Members have access to their summer bocce, where you and your guests can enjoy a bocce tournament, wine, and food prepared by their culinary team. Provenance Vineyards

In perhaps the most casual winery of the list, Provenance Vineyards offers a special Summer Patio Tasting. Experience sweeping vineyard vistas from their sunny patio, with a range of Provenance’s favorite wines, specially curated for a refreshing summer experience. Add a cheese pairing and play bean bag toss on the lawn to make it a memorable picnic! Their small-lot Rutherford vineyards specialize in Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc grapes.
